Job Description
LIMELIGHT is looking for experienced Content Creators to support a portfolio of technology, legal, financial services and professional services client teams in the development and execution of growth communications initiatives. An ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in a professional writing or journalism role ideally in the professional services, legal or financial services industries. Candidates must have the proven ability to craft original storylines and distill technical data to create top-notch reports and other thought leadership pieces . This is a position with long-term growth potential and is a great opportunity for someone with great imagination and growth communications skills who is looking to take on an active role in creating valuable content for our clients.
Our Content Creators play a key role in creating compelling, engaging, and targeted content that supports the agency’s clients’ marketing strategies. The job typically involves researching, writing, and editing a variety of content types, including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media content, email campaigns, video scripting and more.
Roles + Responsibilities
- Content Creation:
- Write clear, compelling, and persuasive content for various digital platforms, including blog posts, website copy, social media updates, product descriptions, email newsletters, and more.
- Tailor content to meet the needs of different client personas and industries, ensuring alignment with marketing goals and SEO best practices.
- Develop copy for paid advertising campaigns, such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other paid media platforms.
- Research and Strategy:
- Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics, target audience preferences, and competitors to ensure content is informative and relevant.
- Collaborate with SEO specialists to identify and incorporate relevant keywords to optimize content for search engines.
- Assist in creating content strategies based on client goals, audience insights, and market trends.
- Editing and Proofreading:
- Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and tone to ensure it meets the client’s brand voice and guidelines.
- Ensure content adheres to best practices for SEO, readability, and engagement across different platforms.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with designers, social media managers, and digital strategists to create cohesive campaigns.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with the creative and marketing teams to develop content ideas that align with client objectives.
- Content Management:
- Assist with managing content calendars to ensure timely delivery of content.
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies as necessary to optimize future content.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional writing experience, ideally in a marketing agency or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress or HubSpot.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Similarweb).
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Writing Skills:
- Strong ability to adapt writing style and tone to various audiences and platforms.
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email and web editing.
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot or similar platforms.
