Job Description

LIMELIGHT is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to support and manage LIMELIGHT’s financial health. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional to manage our day-to-day financial operations and provide the clarity we need to scale efficiently.

As our Fractional Bookkeeper, you won’t just be “crunching numbers”—you will be the steward of our financial health. You’ll manage the full cycle of bookkeeping, ensuring our records are pristine, our vendors are paid, and our leadership team has accurate data to make informed decisions. In this role, you will work closely with LIMELIGHT’s Director of Operations and CEO, as well as directly with the agency’s accountants.

This is a fractional role, ideal for a professional managing a portfolio of clients who can commit to approximately 5-10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage vendor invoices, process payments, and oversee client invoicing/collections to ensure healthy cash flow.
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for executive review.
  • Compliance: Assist with sales tax filings, 1099 processing, and gathering documentation for annual tax preparation.
  • Payroll Support: Ensure accurate recording of payroll entries and benefits-related expenses.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows or automate manual data entry.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably working with small businesses and/or agencies.
  • Tech Savvy: Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Attention to Detail: You catch the $0.05 discrepancy that everyone else misses.
  • Communication: Ability to explain financial data to non-financial team members clearly.
  • Trustworthiness: Absolute discretion and integrity when handling sensitive financial information.
