Job Description

LIMELIGHT is looking for a high-energy, creative-first Video Production & Social Media Intern to support our internal brand and client teams in the creation of thumb-stopping digital content. The ideal candidate is a digital native who speaks fluent TikTok/Reels, understands the nuances of 9:16 storytelling, and isn’t afraid to get behind (or in front of) the camera. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who wants to move beyond “intern tasks” and actually build a portfolio of high-impact, professional B2B social content. You will work closely with our creative leads to turn complex business ideas into engaging visual stories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Script, shoot, and edit high-quality short-form video content specifically optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn.
  • Trend Analysis: Monitor social media trends, trending audios, and platform updates daily to ensure LIMELIGHT and its clients remain ahead of the curve.
  • Post-Production: Execute seamless video editing, including color grading, sound design, and motion graphics using tools like Premiere Pro or CapCut.
  • Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of raw footage, B-roll, and final assets for quick-turnaround requests.
  • On-Set Support: Assist with lighting, audio setup, and “behind-the-scenes” (BTS) capture during virtual or in-person brand shoots.
  • Copywriting: Draft punchy, platform-specific captions and headlines that drive engagement and stop the scroll.
  • Strategy Contribution: Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas for social media campaigns and growth initiatives.
  • Community Management: Support the team in monitoring social channels, responding to comments, and fostering community engagement.
  • Analytics Tracking: Assist in compiling weekly social media performance reports to identify what content resonates best with our B2B audiences.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Film/Video Production, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio or “creator” profile demonstrating your ability to shoot and edit engaging short-form video content.
  • Deep familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram) and their respective algorithms.
  • An eye for detail and a strong sense of visual “aesthetic,” branding, and typography.
  • You’re intellectually curious, creative, self-motivated, and highly detail-oriented.
  • You have a sense of urgency, possessing the ability to multi-task while staying mindful of rapid social media deadlines.
  • You want to work at a company that provides you with growth opportunities and values your creative opinions and perspectives.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
Experience with mobile editing apps (CapCut, InShot) and in-platform social editors.
  • Basic understanding of B2B marketing or a strong interest in learning about the legal and financial services sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to take creative direction and feedback effectively.
